Taking musical performances to new heights, Jebel Jais, the UAE’s tallest peak, hosted the second edition of the highest concert in the country this Friday and Saturday, in front of crowds of more than 1500 VIPS, UAE residents and visitors.
The two-night concert brought together Moscow’s Symphony Orchestra in a unique mash-up with some of the greatest rock artists of all time – Bill Champlin, former CHICAGO front man; Bobby Kimball, lead singer of TOTO; and Dave Bickler former lead singer of SURVIVOR. The two musical genres were brought together under the direction of award-winning artist and conductor, Vladimir Rylov.
Commenting on the event, Haitham Mattar, CEO of RAKTDA, said: “Based on the success of the Vivaldianno – City of Mirrors concert we organized last year, we decided to host our second concert at this spectacular open-air venue, taking our guests through a nostalgic journey of some of the best classic rock music ever created, against the stunning backdrop of Ras Al Khaimah’s iconic natural mountain- Jebel Jais”.
Guests enjoyed sunset drinks before being mesmerized by the unique and dazzling live performance set at 1,600 metres above sea level.
