Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) has concluded a successful showcase at the Vakantiebeurs trade show, one of the most reputed leisure and tourism fairs in Utrecht- Netherlands. RAKTDA’s participation in the travel fair between 9 – 13 January, supports the Emirate’s objectives to drive further growth in the number of visitors travelling to Ras Al Khaimah.
The annual travel trade event in Netherlands gathered tourism authorities, travel agencies and cultural associations from across the world for an opportunity to introduce their travel destinations and tourism products to consumers and fellow trade partners from the region.
RAKTDA representatives met with several key partners from the region including Travel Counsellors Netherlands, TUI Netherlands, Thomas Cook and Corendon Holidays, who play a significant role in consolidating Ras Al Khaimah’s position in Netherlands and Belgium. RAKTDA was joined by several exhibiting partners from the UAE including Emirates Airline, Toro Verde Ras Al Khaimah, Rixos Bab Al Bahr, The Cove Rotana and Hilton RAK Resort & Spa.
Visitors to the pavilion were introduced to Ras Al Khaimah’s diverse and spectacular beach, desert, mountain, and adventure offerings, including a Virtual Reality experience which gave them a taste of the breathtaking experience of Jebel Jais Flight: The World’s Longest Zipline on the UAE’s highest mountain.
Over the next three years, Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority will continue to create compelling offerings that combine the Emirate’s key promises: pristine beaches; natural beauty; cultural heritage; excellence in hospitality and unrivalled experiences in order to attract close to 1.5 million visitors by 2021, and 3 million visitors by 2025.
