The emirate’s tourism authority awarded Best Arabian Tourism Board during the Arabian Travel Awards 2017
Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA), which develops the emirate’s tourism infrastructure and initiates its domestic and overseas promotions, has received further accreditation for its efforts to promote the emirate as a year-round destination during the inaugural Arabian Travel Awards.
During the annual awards ceremony, which pays homage to those behind the success of the travel and hospitality industry, RAKTDA was recognised as the Best Arabian Tourism Board among its peers in the region.
The UAE’s most northern emirate received the most number of votes through the award organiser’s online platform, securing the top tourism accolade of the evening.
Commenting on the award, Haitham Mattar, CEO at RAKTDA, said: “The popularity of Ras Al Khaimah as an all-round tourism destination continues to increase, and to receive this recent accolade is a great achievement for both RAKTDA and our stakeholders who support our various initiatives and activities globally.
“The second half of this year is already building up to be an exciting year for the emirate with a number of new products and activities launching towards the latter months and I look forward to welcoming more travellers to Ras Al Khaimah.”
