The inaugural direct flight from Luxembourg to Ras Al Khaimah arrived yesterday at 16.35 to a befitting welcome and greeting with a water cannon salute. Launched by reputed European tour operator LuxairTours, the first flight carried 165 passengers including key media and members of the travel & trade industry who were received with a warm welcome from a VIP delegation including H.E. Engr. Sheikh Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of Department of Civil Aviation of Ras Al Khaimah, H.E. Elisabeth Cardoso, Ambassador of Luxembourg and officials of the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) and Ras Al Khaimah International Airport.
LuxairTours will fly every Wednesday directly to Ras Al Khaimah airport, offering tourists from European markets a direct, more accessible and hassle-free journey to one of the fastest growing holiday destinations in the region.
